Eight Sightseeings Tower
Eight Sightseeings Tower, also called 八境台 (Bā jìng tái ) in Chinese, is located in Beibajing Park in Ganzhou City. And it is one of the major attractions in Ganzhou City.The Eight Sightseeings Tower was built by Kong Zonghan who was the former county defender the during the Emperor Jiarong period (1056-1063) of the Northern Song Dynasty. After created the tower, Kong Zonghan once drew the "Ganzhou Eight Sightseeings Map" to use poems in Su Shi. Hence, it's name Eight Sightseeings Tower. Since then, many literati have visited here .
The Eight Sightseeings Tower, built on the wall of the city, has a total of three floors with a height of 28.5 meters and a total area of 574 square meters. Looking up from the tower, you can see some boats on Ganjiang River, which makes people feel refreshed.
