Ruijing PRC Cradle Scenic Area


Ruijin is praised as the Cradle  of the People's Republi of China (PRC), because Ruijin was the seat of the Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic from November 1931 to October 1934 before the Long March. As a national 5A scenic area, It is mainly composed of four scenic spots: Yeping, the Second National 
People's Congress of the Chinese Soviet Republic, Hongjing, and Chinese Soviet Memorial Park (South Park and North Park). 

Chinese Soviet Memorial Park is divided into the South Park and the North Park. The South Park is mainly distributed with the Ruijin Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial, the Red Army Martyrs Pavilion, and the Dragon Ball Tower. The North Park is a large red tourist park integrating revolutionary traditional education and situational experience. It mainly includes the Central Revolutionary Base History Museum, the Red Five Star Music Square, the Spiritual Bronze Characters of the Soviet Area, and the Chinese Soviet Memorial Tripod.

Yeping Revolutionary Site is located 5 kilometers away from Ruijin City. It is one of the important revolutionary sites in the local area. This is the birthplace of China's first red government, the Chinese Soviet Central Government built in 1931. In Yeping Scenic spot, there are ruins such as the Red Army Martyrs Memorial Tower, the Red Army Martyrs Memorial Pavilion, the Red Army Review Station, Zhao Bosheng Fortress, Huang Gonglue Pavilion, the former Central Post Office site, and the former site of Chinese Soviet Republic's National Bank. Among them, the cannonball-shaped memorial tower is the symbol of the scenic spot.

The site of the Second National People's Congress of the Chinese Soviet Republic is located in Shazhouba Village, 1.5 kilometers northwest of Rujin City. The Chinese Soviet Provisional Central Government Auditorium is the only large house built by the Red Army in 1930s. People call it the predecessor of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, and it is also a landmark of the Soviet Area. In 1933, the Second National People's Congress of the Chinese Soviet Republic was held here from Jan 21 to Feb1, 1934.

The Red Well, also kown as Hongjing, is located at Shazhouba  of  Ruijin City. In 1931, after the Red Army stationed in Ruijin, Mao Zedong led some Red Army soldiers  to dig a well for the local people. It  was repaired by Ruijin people in 1950 Ruijin people and gave its name as the Red Well.
Ruijin Revolution Memorial Hall is located in Ruijin City of Jiangxi Province. Established in 1953 and completed in 1958, the museum has collected 10265 cultural relics, including 45 first-class collections and 90 second-class collections. It has 10220 historical materials and more than 2,000 books and magazines.


Chinese Soviet Military Museum, also known as the former site of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic, is located in Wushi Village of Ruijin City.   In May 1933, the Central Military Commission of Chinese Soviet Repulic moved here. This was a civilian house, and it  was restored in 1953. Now it is a national key cultural relics protection unit.
