Keemun Black Tea


Keemun Black Tea is the best Chinese black tea, honored as “the queen of black tea. Being one of the top ten famous teas in China, it has been planted in Qimen County, Huangshan City of Anhui Province for more than 100 years. It is well-known for its strong fragrance, fresh and mellow taste, tight, even body, bright red soup and elaborate workmanship. Keemun black tea has three main types, Keemun kungfu tea, Keemun Maofeng and Keemun Xiangluo, distinguished by making process and appearance. Their benefits do not differ much.

Features of Keemun Tea

Keemun black tea field, with an area of approximately 107 sq km, has superior natural conditions with rather high elevation, fertile red and yellow soil, warm climate, plentiful rainfall, and moderate sunshine, very suitable for tea plantation. The spring tea is the best of all.  

The processed Keemun black tea has fragrant aroma, embellishing black color and slim shape like thin brow, and turns to be flush and transparently vivid when soaked into boiling water. Keemun smells like honey and orchid, giving the tea a distinctive and balanced taste - the so-called “China Qimen aroma”. The tea can be added with milk or sugar, but tastes best without adding anything else.

Keemun black tea is rich in riboflavin, folic acid, carotene, totaxin, protein, vitamin C, etc and an important source of fluorid. Drinking Keemun black tea will help to enhance your memory and get rid of fatigue, protect you against cancer, degenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, prevent heart attacks, lower the blood glucose, blood pressure, blood fat, and protects you from ultraviolet rays and radiation. 


How to brew?

1. Prepare the tea set. Purple clay or white porcelain tea set produced in Jingdezhen is the best choice.
2. Boil the purified or spring water to 90-95 ºC (194-203℉).
3. Add 1-2 teaspoons of tea leaves to 8 ounces boiling water. And wait for 1 to 3 minutes.
4. Pour the tea into the drinking cup, then you can enjoy the tea with rich aroma.
