Tian Family Ancestral Hall is one of the two largest ancestral halls , the other is Yang Ancestral Hall, in Fenghuang Ancient Town. In 1837 during the Qing Dynasty (1645-1911), it was built by Mr. Tian Xingru who was born in Fenghuang Town and once served as the official of Guizhou Province.
In front of the gate of the hall, it is a fan-shaped six-step stone stairs made of red sand-stones. There are a pair of stone-made drums and a pair of stone statues on both sides of the gate.
