Transportation
It is very easily to get to any other places in Datong from the south railway station if you take city bus or taxi.
To Datong downtown by City Bus
The bus stop in the east of the front square is called Datong South Railway Station where passengers can take city bus line 14, 31, 61, 66, 68, and 605 to Huayan Monastery, Fantawild Adventure Park, Datong Museum, Art Museum and other places in the city.
To Datong Railway Station
Passengers can take city bus line 66 from Datong Railway Station to South Railway Station directly. The travel takes about 50 minutes and costs CNY 1.
To Yungang Grottoes
First, take city bus line 31 from the train station to Pingwangcun Xikou, then go to the scenic spot by city bus line 12. It will spend about 1 hour and 50 minutes and CNY4.
To Datong Yungang Airport
City bus line 605 runs between the two places with a duration of 45 minutes and a fare of CNY 3. Or you can take the free airport shuttle bus to Datong Hotel at first, then transfer to bus line 31 and get off at South Railway Station.
