Xiangtangshan Grottoes


Xiangtangshan Grottoes, or Xiangtang Mountain Grottoes, also known as Xiangtang Temple Grottoes, is located in the Fengfeng mining area on the southwest side of Handan City, Hebei Province. It is a well-known Buddhist  grottoes in China and the largest   grottoes in Hebei Province.

The Buddhist statues were built  in 550AD during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. The sight is comprised of 16 grottoes with thousands of Buddha statues and offers a good opportunity to study Buddhist architecture, caving, painting and Calligraphy. With grotto resort and beautiful mountain,  it is a resort in North China for visiting ancient places and worshiping the Buddha.
