Shengfang Ancient Town


Shengfang Ancient Town  is locatedin the southeast of Bazhou City, Hebei Province. It is 35 kilometers east of Bazhou City , 120 kilometers from Beijing, and 35 kilometers from Tianjin

Shengfang Ancient Town  is a water town in Hebei Province.  Situated on the banks of the  Zhongting River Daqing River in the Haihe River Basin, it is a must-go place to go to Tianjin.

Shengfang Ancient  Town has a long history. It was built in the late Spring and Autumn Period 2400 years ago. It was originally a water town and was originally called Ditou Village, then Wupingting and Weicheng. It was named Shengfang in Song Dynasty. In ancient times, Shengfang was a famous flood and dry wharf in northern China, with a large number of merchants, beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. During the Qing Dynasty, it was listed as one of the six major towns in Zhili Province, with famous  the Wang Family Courtyard and the Zhang Family Courtyard which belong to the typical houses in Hebei.

In 2008, the theater, archway, and Wenchang Pavilion in Shengfang's history were restored and reconstructed. The old district was restored and reconstructed, and the Shengfang History Museum was built, which has formed a tourist hot spot to opened to tourists.
