Yanjiao Dong Village

Yanjiao Dong Village, the 4A national scenic area, is located in Zhaiya Township, Jinzhou County, southwest Hunan Province. There are 1,420 Dong people in the village. With over 1,200 years history, Yanjiao Dong Village is praised as "Girls Country along Silk Road" hidden in mountainous  of West Hunan Province.
 
On January 30, 2017, Yanjiao Dong Village of Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County stages a grand original ecological real scene musical “Girls Country along Silk Road”.

Yanjiao Dong Village, 25 km away from Jinzhou Downtown, was originally founded by Yang Family in the Song Dyansty ( 906-1227).  This village is standing on the key site of south China's silk road from Hunan to Guizhou, and Yunnan Province.

Yanjiao  Ancient Dong Village, built in the Song Dynasty, has four wonders:  a mysterious and long-standing matriarchal culture, a pristine and heavy history of the station, a rich and unique humanistic folklore, and a landscape garden like a fairyland. This village is not only the “National Minority Characteristic Village in Hunan Province”, but also the first national village tourism poverty alleviation key village. It is also a national 3A level scenic spot and is known as the “Silk Road Daughter Country”.
