The time difference you should be used to the "new time" upon arrival China from your home country.Although geographically China spans five time zones, all clocks throughout China are set eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

The standard times used in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Province are the same, for they are all in the same time zone (UTC+8), 8 hours ahead of the Universal Time Coordinated. That means that as you travel within China, you will never have to adjust your watch. Whether you travel from Beijing in the East, to Xinjiang or Tibet in the West, there will not be a time difference.

Bejing Time
For the unity, the whole China adopts Beijing Time, which is also in the time zone (GMT+8).
Beijing Time is worked out and released from the National Time Service Center, Shaanxi Province, which is geographically almost the center of China. Unlike western countries, China now does not follow the daylight saving time. 

Travel Tips
1. Also note that there is no Daylight Savings Time in China, if your country observes DST you will need to adjust the above table accordingly.
2. People react and are affected differently when flying accross time zones. Here are a couple of things we have found useful during our long-haul flights:

• Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated
• Wear comfortable clothes
• Avoid fatty foods and caffeine
• Kids seem to be immune to jetlag, bring plenty of stuff to keep them entertained in the long flight if it is a day flight.
