Song Qingling Former Residence

The Former Residence of Song Qingling is a typical Beijing courtyard house which is located in Beijing. It was originally the royal palace garden of Prince Zai Feng, the father of the late Qing Dynasty Emperor Aixinjueluo Puyi. Ms. Song Qingling, the wife of Sun Yat-sen, moved here in April 1963 and had been working, studying and living until her death on May 29, 1981.

The former residence was originally one of the four royal palace gardens in the Qing Dynasty. It is not large, and the length and width are about 150 meters. After entering the courtyard, you can walk. In the courtyard, there are hills on the south, west and north sides.  In the inner side of the mountain around the garden, the living water, such as Nanhu Lake, introduced from Houhai Lake.

The main building is located in the center of the water flow similar to the lake island. The buildings here are antique and very elegant. There are various trees between the lake and the building, which are very beautiful. Strolling between the trees and water in the yard, you will feel very peaceful and quiet, and taking pictures is also very good.

There are two special exhibitions about Song Qingling's career life in the former residence.
