In the morning, if you walk along Tuojiang River in Fenghuang Ancient Town. you can enjoyed this picturesque scenery. Women are washing clothes by the river,  the mysterious mist is floating on the river, the small ripples of water flowing slightly  across the river, the neat rows of neat and quiet stilt buildings stand on the river sides... you will be fascinated by all of these.

What a beautiful mood!  All is very fresh and pleasant. In this case, it is very comfortable for you to walk on the bluestone slabs and take a walk!

Two elderly women are doing laundry by the Tuojiang River. After washing in water, they are vigorously wringing the water out of the washed clothes.

In front of the slate on the banks of the Tuojiang River, there is a  Miao Ethnic old woman who get up early to wash the laundry. She waves the mallet and knock on the blue slate, which makes the clear sound heard one after another. The first song of the ancient city is beging from here.

Miao Ethnic People live in mountainous area in West Hunan. Miao people have been a hardworking people in China. Look the below picture which shows an old Miao woman to stand in water of Tuojiang  River with fer feet washing clothes.   

The hanging  buildings on the riversides  is lightly smoking. The snoring of hammering clothes by the riverside is mixed with the long laughter of the laundry woman. What a beautiful scenery!
