The  bronze statue of Mao Zedong stands on the square. With  its 3.7 tons weight and 10.1 meters high, and 10.1 meters high. It symbolizes "10.1" National Day, and it also symbolizes that Mao Zedong was the founder of the People's Republic of China. 

The bronze statue of Mao Zedong  was cast in 1993, the 100th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth. The bronze statue successfully shaped Chairman Mao's greatness during the founding ceremony.
