Taohuajiang Scenic Area is also named Taohuajiang Natioanl Forest Park which is located about 30 kms from Taohuajiang County, Yiyang City. In the scenic area,the undulating mountains embrace the Taohua Lake and cover an area of over 467 hectare or so. The main tourist attractions include a large memorial archway with an inscription tao hua sheng jing (wonderful scenery of peach blossom), the dam of Taohua Reservoir, and a bamboo sea covering an area of 467 hectares or so in Mount Hongshan, which is considered a marvel in China.

Taohua Lake
Taohua Lake, from which the Taohua River originates, is located in Taojiang County, Yiyang City. It has a water surface of 10,000 mu (about 666.7 hectares) and water storage of 70 million cubic meters. It is surrounded by rolling mountains and green forest all around. Taohua Lake is famous for its clean water and beautiful landscape. .During late March and early April, the peach blossoms are set off perfectly by the choppy lake water in the breeze. When the peach blossoms come into flower, the scenery is even more fantastic with the blossoms and the lake perfectly decorating each other

Taohua River
Taohua River is a brook in Taojiang County well known to the whole country for a song about the river composed in the 1930s. The River zigzags for 58 kilometers (36 miles) and is dotted with many fine landscapes.

Bamboo Sea
Covering a total area of 761 hectares, the Bamboo Sea is the largest ecological scenic area with bamboos in south China, and it has been considered as a must-see spot. The whole scenic area provides an opportunity for people to be close to the nature, and to forget noisy urban life. The whole bamboo sea area consists of numerous hills, generally with a height from 100 to 250 meters. The highest peak and the lowest altitude are respectively 335 meters and 37 meters.Green bamboos are seen along the road. 

Climbing to the red building at the top of the bamboo sea, you can overlook the whole area, appreciating the flowing wave of bamboos, and singing birds.

Shy Lady Mountain
The mountain, lying 15 kilometers (9 miles) from the seat of Taojiang County, is made up of seven peaks in the shape of a beautiful woman laying on the river bank.

Luoxi Waterfall
Located in Shijingtou Township of Taojiang County, it is definitely an imposing sight to see the water rushing furiously down, and stirring up whirlpools when it reaches the bottom.

Happy Farmhouse
By the Yiyang-Taojiang Road, the Happy Farmhouses in the land of Bamboos is about 2 km from the sea of bamboos by the Taohua River in the west, and 10 km away from the Hundred Bamboo Garden Scenic Area in the west. In the land of bamboos, tourists may enjoy indoor recreation, walk in the bamboo grove, boat on the lake, and taste local Wudao Tea, snacks as well as Bamboo Banquet.
