Bailu Temple


The Bailu Temple is located in Bailu hill on the south Zijiang River in Yiyang City,Hunan Province.With over 1,200 years history,the temple was originally built in the Yuanhe year of Emperor Xianzong(806-820AD) in Tang Dynasty(618-907AD).It was destroied by the war in the late Qing Dynasty. The new temple was rebuilt in 1991.

Bailu Temple

Covering a total area of 21,000 square kilometers,the Bailu Temple has 4 sections of the Buddhist buildings, and there are 300 monks in the temple.As the biggest temple in Yiyang City, the Bailu Temple is regarded as one of the key sites of religion and culture in Hunan Province.
