Tianning Temple


Tianning Temple, located in the west section of Wenfeng Road of Anyang City,  was built in 601 during the Tang Dynasty(618-907). After it was renovated and expanded by the prefect of Huang Bangning in 1772 during the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), Zhangde House (an ancient name of Anyang), Tianning Temple had the scale to be reached unprecedented. which had several hundreds houses included pavilion, tower, building,etc.
 
Tianning Temple is famous for the Wenfeng Pagoda. The upper body of the tower goes out at the fifth level and increases step by step from bottom to top. The arches of each layer are different. According to Anyang County Records: This tower was built in 952 during the Five Dynasties. It has a history of more than 1,000 years. In 2001, it was designated as China's national key cultural relics protection unit.
