Qinglong Valley


Qinglong Valley lies in the northwest of Xiuwu County of Henan Province with the area of 90 square kilometers. It consists of Qinglong Valley and Aiqu Karst Cave.
Qinglong Valley formed in the environment of East Asia Rift, then it came into being a big Valley because of rivers´s deeply down-cutting, its whole length is 7.5 kilometers, the width is tens of meters, the width of the narrowest part is only several meters, and the depth reaches to 600-700 meters.
Gurgling water of Qinglong River wiggles along the valley which just likes a green dragon; water at the bottom of the valley forms waterfalls, torrent, streams and green lake; the karst caves in cliffs individually have characteristics, Liangqinjia Cave passes through the whole ridge, Qinglong Cave is very secret, and there has eternal flowing water in Sanguan Cave with the depth of more than 300 meters, it is famous for the travertine landscape, for example, travertine dams and beaches can be caught everywhere, and suspended stalactites from the roof look like jade columns.
There are various Paleontological fossils in stratum such as cephalopoda fossil, triloblite fossil and stromatolite and so on, all of which reflect biotic flourish several hundred million years ago. The park is located in the mountain forest, and the branches and leaves of millennia old trees here spreading to the surrounding extension, the red leaves will cover all over the mountain when in autumn which just looks like fairyland.
