Ningxia Museum


Ningxia Museum  (Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Museum 宁夏回族博物馆) is a provincial-level comprehensive museum which is located in the Chengtian Temple.

The old museum, built in 1973, the new four-storey building was opened on August 28,  2008.  The Ningxia Museum is located in the People's Square of Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, covering an area of 30,258 square meters. The collections reach 40,000 and first-grade historical relics total 159. The museum assembles the Chinese character "Hui" and aims to fully display Hui culture. It consists of eight exhibition halls covering the Hui culture, stone rubbings from the Helan Mountains and Western Xia relics, etc.

Ningxia Museum has superb facilities and excellent services, such as magnificent LED screen, the most advanced sound, luminous and electricity system, advanced air purification system and as well as rest rooms and elevators for people with disabilities.
