Huaxi Hlall 花戏楼


Huaxi Hall, an opera theater which is part of the Great Guandi Temple, is located at Xianning Street, in the northern corner of Bozhou City of Anhui Province. The hall was built to use excellent quality wood in 1656, the 13th year of Emperor Shunzhi during the Qing Dynasty. The brick curving、 wood curving、painting of the hall are mostly from the major of the local operas, so the hall is also called Huaxi Hall, Flower Opera Theater. Originally named Guandi Temple or Shan-Shaan Hall, it was first built by Wang Bi, a  businessman from Shanxi, and ZhuKong, a businessman from Shaanxi, the hall was also called Shan-Shaan Hall.  

Skilled artisans decorated the stage with beautiful and intricate engravings and colorful patterns,Huaxi Hall had been rebuilt many times in the period of  Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong, during the early Qing Dynasty. And it was listed as one of  the important national culture relics as well as the national AAAA attraction in 1988,
