Anshun Huangguoshu Airport was opened in 2004. Now, it has a runway of 2,800 meters (about 1.74 miles) long and 50 meters (about 0.03 miles) wide. The flight area of the airport has reached the standard of 4C Level. It is equipped with advanced facilities such as blind landing system, meteorological automatic observing system to keep the normal flight. It has opened the city up to visitors from other major cities in China like Shenyang, Kunming and Guangzhou. Anshun is the tourist center of Guizhou West Tour Line, and the airport not only improves the transport conditions in west part of Guizhou but also it is an important window to open Anshun to the public and increase tourism.
