How to get to Gulangyu Island? There are five main wharfs you need to know getting to Gulangyu Island. As the map above shows, Sanqiutian Wharf and Neicuo'ao Wharf are the two piers on Gulangyu Island locating in the east side and west side of the island respectively. The rest three wharfs are not on the Gulangyu Island, Xiamen International Cruise Terminal or call it Dongdu Youlun Matou as the locals do and Lundu Ferry Terminal are on Xiamen Island east to Gulangyu while Songyu Wharf on the other hand is west to Gulangyu on mainland.

At night (17:50 – 06:30 next day):

From Hall 2 of Xiamen Lundu Ferry Terminal near Zhongshan Road, take a ship to Sanqiutian Wharf. The roundtrip fare is CNY 35 and it takes about 7mins.

Note:
1. Passports are required when buying the tickets and embarking on the ship.
2. Passengers with roundtrip tickets should leave Gulangyu within 20 days using the returning ticket.
3. Children under 3.9ft (1.2m) can get a free ticket by showing passport at the ticket window. Children between 1.2m and 1.5m (4.5ft) can enjoy half price ticket.

5. No Ferries to Kinmen Island! Travelers who want to go to Kinmen have to board at Xiamen Wutong Port (厦门五通码头).
