Changchun, the capital of Jilin province, is a central city of Northeast Asia region with splendid beauty, prosperity and internationality. Established initially as a small Trading post and frontier village in 1800, Changchun Ting had gradually attracted huge number of people from overcrowded Hebei province and Shandong Province to migrate into there by the end of 18th century. In May 1898, the first railway station was set up in Kuancheng (one of the administrative district in Changchun). Soon after the completion, Changchun received rapid growth and emerged as a major population center in Jilin province after the provincial capital Jilin City.

What to see in Changchun ?
Changchun, one of the first group cities entitled as Best City for Travelling, is also among the Cities of Garden in China. With a forestation rate of 78%, Changchun tops the forestry city in Asian area. It is dominated by the largest artificial forest within its main urban zones, supported with comfortable sunshine, clear water and fresh air. Besides, it includes numerous famous spots with historic and cultural meanings, such as the Banruo Temple or the Puppet Emperor’s Palace. In winter, Changchun is even more popular in that it is available for tourists to keep a close contact with snow-made artistic crafts as well as amazing natural landscape.

When to visit Changchun ?
The weather in Changchun reveals typical humid continential feature, with monsoon influence. Winters are cold, dry and long (lasting from November to March), with a January mean temperature of −9.6 °C and normally light snow. Spring and fall are somewhat short transitional periods, with some precipitation, but dry and windy as well. Owning to the East Asian monsoon, it includes a hot and humid summer, with a prevailing southeasterly wind; July averages 23.1 °C. Annual rainfall is concentrated from June to August. It will also see a frost-free period of 140 to 150 days.

When to visit Changchun ?
Airway-Longjia International Airport is located in the northeastern Jiutai, the inner city of Changchun, and has opened up more than 20 lines connected the city with both domestic and oversea appealing cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hongkong, Seoul, Tokyo and so forth.

Railway-Changchun Railway Station stands in the northern end of Renmin Street in Changchun, with railway lines including Jingha, Changbai, and Changtu jointed together in there. Motor rail enables arrival to cities like Shenyang, Harbin and Beijing at minimum time cost, respectively 2 hours, an hour and 50 minutes, and 6 hours.

Highway-It is available to use 102 National Highway 302 National Highway which run through south to north and east to west respectively. Besides, 5 coach stations were built within the city from which buses punctually depart and run throughout Jilin province. They are also economical choices to the arrival of Hangzhou and Taiyuan in the south, Jiamusi in the north and Ulanhot in the west.
