Yinchuan Transportation


Yinchuan is located in the northwestern region of China, in the middle of the Ningxia Plain, east of the western edge of Ordos, and west of Helan Mountain. The Yellow River crosses the city and is an important trading center of the ancient Silk Road. As the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Yinchuan is also the transportation center of Ningxia. 

Today, Yinchuan's transportation has made great progress, and a transportation network of civil aviation, railways and highways has been established. It is very convenient for tourists to enter and exit Yinchuan by plane, train and car.

By Air
Yinchuan Hedong Airport is presently connected to over 50 domestic and international cities by direct flights. Three terminal buildings well-equipped with updated checking facilities and services are provided at the airport for passengers’ convenience.

By Train
Yinchuan Railway Station is at Bao-Lan Railway (Baotou to Lanzhou) is connected to every main line of travel and reaches to most ports in coastal areas. In addition, Zhongbao Railway (Zhongwei in Yinchuan Province to Baoji in Shaanxi Province) is connected by the New Eurasia Land Bridge that can take you directly to Middle Asia and Europe via Xinjiang Province. There are nonstop trains from Yinchuan to Beijing, Lanzhou, Hohhot, Baotou, Datong, and Zhangjiakou, etc.


By Bus
Yinchuan Long-Distance Bus Station
It lies near South Gate Square. There are now nearly 30 long-distance bus routes going to every city or county of Ningxia as well as some areas of Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi Province. No.1 and No.2 bus can take you to the station.

City-Bus
There were 155 bus routes in Yinchuan City, with 1820 buses operating vehicles.There are more than 22 inner-city bus routes as well as several sight-seeing bus routes in Yinchuan.

Eastern Tourist Route: South Gate - Jinshuiyuan Tourist Area - Western Xia Film and TV City - Shaquan


By Taxi
There are 5364 taxi operating vehicles, and it is easily to take taxi in Yin Chuna City.


BRT
Yinchuan City has planned four BRT lines, of which Line 1 started on April 28, 2012, and was put into operation in September of the same year. The operating vehicles are 18-meter long articulated buses and 12-meter long articulated buses. Line 2 started construction in 2013 and went into operation in the same year.
