Guiyang North Railway Station was put into commercial service on Dec. 26, 2014. It is located 6 kilometers from the city center, 11 kilometers from Guiyang Railway Station, and 21 kilometer from the Longdongbao International Airport. Currently, the station serves only high speed trains to major cities including Guilin, Nanning, and Duyun as well as those ones along Guiyang - Guangzhou High Speed Railway.
Bullet trains between Guiyang North and Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Changsha, Nanchang, Wuhan, Xiamen, Nanjing, Jinnan, Zhengzhou, Fuzhou and many other cities in middle and east China are running. 
There are two squares next to the station, the east and the west squares. Passengers can easily find bus stops, convenience stores as well as restaurants around the squares. In addition, subway line 1 and 5 will go through the North Railway Station in the future when the construction project is finished.
