How to reach Fenghuang?
By Air: There is not airport in Xiangxi Tujia & Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province, but Fenghuang County is only 115 km away from Zhijiang Airport in Zhijiang County of Huaihua City, 30 km away Tongren Fenghuang Airport, and 280 km away from Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport. By Train: Zhijiang-Liuzhou Railway runs through Xiangxi Tujia & Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province. Fenghuang County is 52 km away from Jishou Railway Station, 92 km from Huaihua Railway Station, 80 km from Huaihua South Railway Station, 68 km from Tongren Railway Station, Visitors can take train from other cities of China to Jishou, Huaihua or Tongren, and then take bus to Fenghuang County. Zhangjihuai high-speed Railway is 246 kilometers in length, which will operate in 2021. The whole line will include 7 stations in Zhangjiajie West, Furong Town (Yongshun Station), Guzhang West, Jishou East,

By Highway: Fengda High Speed Way, from Fenghuang County to Daxing Town of Tongren City is a section of Hangzhou-Ruili High-speed Way, which was completed and in 2013, Jifeng High-speed Way,from Jishou to Fenghuang, was completed in 2012, and ZhangHua High-speed Way,from Zhangjiajie to Huayuan in Xiangxi Prefecture operated to traffic in 2012. G209 National Highway and S308 Provincial Highway run through the whole area of Fenghuang County.
Fenghuang North Bus Station: Fenghuang to Jishou is 20 minutes per flight; Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie operates at 8:00 and 14:00 each. Buy tickets at the ticket hall on the first floor and ride on the second floor.Fenghuang North Bus Station operates shuttle bus to Jishou, Huaihua,Tongren, Zhangjiajie, Guilin, Changsha....So it is very easy to reach Fenghuang by bus from any city of China.
