Liaoning Transportation


The transportation in Liaoning Province is convenient. Four transportation networks including roads, railways, water transportation and civil aviation have been formed. It is very easy for domestic and foreign tourists to enter and leave Liaoning.

By Air
Since Jan. 1, 2018, the 144-hour visa-free transit scheme has been implemented in Liaoning for citizens from 53 countries and regions including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, etc., and Shenyang Taoxian Airport and Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport are the entry / exit ports.  
Civil aviation airports in Liaoning Province include: Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, Anshan Teng'ao Airport, Dandong Langtou Airport, Jinzhou Jinzhou Bay Airport, Yingkou Lanqi Airport, Chaoyang Airport, Changhai Dachangshan Island Airport, etc.

By Train
The rail transportation facilities of Liaoning are among the best in China, and the annual tonnage transported is one of the highest for any province. By the end of  2019,Liaoning had the operating mileage of railways with 6,132 kilometers, including 2,036 kilometers of high-speed railways,
The railway system is centred in Shenyang, from there extending northeast to Changchun (Jilin) and further to Harbin (Heilongjiang), southeast to Dandong and further to North Korea, south to Dalian, southwest to Shanhaiguan (Hebei) and further to Beijing, and northwest to Tongliao (Inner Mongolia).

By Bus
By the end of  2019,Liaoning had 123830 kilometers of highways, including 4,331 kilometers of expressways. Highways in the province are extensive, also with Shenyang as the centre. Shenyang has an extensive system of express highways, and it has been linked to Beijing, Dalian, and Changchun.

By Water
Navigation by sea or river carries almost none of the internal traffic of Liaoning, but sea navigation is of great importance for transport to other parts of China and the world. Dalian is the largest port, followed by Yingkou, Huludao, and Donggang.
