Zhangjiajie Binlang Gorge is located in Luotaping Township,Yongding District of Zhangjiajie City. It is  59 km away from downtown Zhangjiajie. Covering green plants, it is an area with Zhangjiajie Landmark and Karst Landmark which was formed in 3.8 biliion years ago. Unique stone pillars, natural caves, stone walls,deep gorges are all can be seen  to make it become a popular outdoor place for tourists in recent years.

What to see in Zhangjiajie Binlang Gorge?

The Stars Gorge

The Stars Gorge, Xinzhigu (星之谷) in Chinese, is a large gorge with over 5 km length. Surrounded by deep cliffs, the gorge looks like a fairy-land covered by green grass. It is very beautiful while stars shining on the sky at night, so it is named the Stars Gorge by visitors.

The Mysterious Cave

With its length of 800 meters, the Mysterious Cave is a karst cave. There are many underground rivers ,stalactites, stalagmites, stone blossoms, stone curtains, stone branches, stone canals, stone pearls, and stone macrospores, constituting a fantastic yet natural scene. These have been colorfully lit to contrast their features. 

The Moon Gorge

After 800 mters walking in the Mysterious Cave, you will enter the Moon Gorge. It is surrounded by the natural stone walls. And it looks like the moon. Hence, it is given the name of " the Moon Gorge". Here you can see some unique stone pillars. In the north of Moon Gorge, there is a natural stone bridge which is a the pass to Binlang Cave.

Binlang Cave

With its height of 25 meter and width of 20 meters, the Binglang Cave  runs its length of 160 meters  inside the stone wall in the Star Gorge. It was praised as one of the top eight sight-seeings of Yongding District in ancient times. 

Huangtujie Mountain

Also called"Little Zhangjiajie", Huangtujie Mountain borders with Yongshun County of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Here you can see some imagine scenic spots such as Zhuma Stream,Double-Peak Rock, Tongchuan Stream,Hanxi Stream,Caonima Peak,etc.

Opening hours: 08:00-18:00

Transport: Take shuttle bus from Zhangjiajie West Bus Station to Luotaping Township.

Remarks: This area is an outdoor place that is fit for outdoors to have hiking and adventure tours.
