Dragon King Cave is situated in Gaofeng Township,Zhangjiajie City's Cili County.It is 62 km away from Zhangjiajie Downtown,and 30km away from Wulingyuan Scenic Area.Dragon King Cave was appraised as the national AAAA scenic area in 2007. Because of some legends, Dragon King Cave is also praised as "the Gate of the earth" by most experts in karst caves.

What to see?

With a total length of  30km,Dragon King Cave boasts 28 pathes with its width of 80 meters and height of 40 meters.There are 58 halls,3 underground rivers, 2 lakes,as well as 5 waterfalls in the cave.It is a superb collection of beautiful scenery,such as  Stalagmites, stalactites, stone curtains, and stone flowers.Especially,after 87 meters walking from the entrance gate of the cave, you can see a large pool, named " Dragon King Pool". With 400 square meters, Dragon King Pool is surrounded by deep cliffs. It is  mysterious for us to know the deepth of the water in the pool.Sometimes,It is flood on the pool while the weather and seasons are changing. And poeple usually get sight of some fish,water duckes and pigiens playing in the pool. So local people call this pool as "Yingtan", means"no-deepth pool".
