With wonderful geographical features, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park makes it a popular destination for tourists from China and abroad. Here are more than 3000 surprising pillar-like formations pulling out from earth and seen throughout the park. The peaks are in varied shapes, some looks lie a human, some looks like objects and some are in the shape of animals, etc. Vivid formations can be found everywhere of this national forest park. No.2 : Golden Whip Stream
Sceneries along the Golden Whip Stream are most enchanting in the park. Named after the Golden Whip Rock that it flows by, this stream, 5.7 kilometers long (3.5 miles), joins the Lute stream in the west and Suoxi Stream in the east. A 300-meter (984 feet) walk from the gate of the park will lead you to the entrance of the Golden Whip Stream. Flanked by ridges and peaks, the crystal clear water makes it possible to observe every action of the fish in the water. Wild flowers are in abundance here.
No.3: Yuanjiajie Scenic Spot
The northern part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the essential tourist route. Yuanjiajie is a natural platform that faces giant rocks rising from deep valleys and surrounded by higher mountains. Unique in their shapes and covered with pine trees, these rocks resemble a vivid Chinese painting.
No.4: Yaozi Village Scenic Spot
Yaozi Village is one of the scenic spots that many adventurers love to go to. Climbed to the top of the mountain, you can see the scenery that is unseen elsewhere. There are many unique sight-seeings such as Natural Bridge, Eagle Mouths Peak, Thousands of mountains and rivers, Jade rabbits watching the moon, etc.
No.5: Shadaogou Scenic Spot
With a length of 6 kilometers, Shaodao Stream runs in the deep valley between Yangjiajie Scenic Spot and Yellow Stone Village. If visiting there, you can hike down-stairs from the Viewing Bridge Platfrom , also 望桥台 (wàng qiáo tái ）in Chinese, in the west of Yuanjiajie Scenic Spot. You can also across a bridge at the upper reaches of the Purple Grass Pool, then go on walking along the up-stairs. However, it will take you around 3 hours hiking to end the whole route.
